You Can't Believe Everything you Hear

At one time, maybe that was possible, but we can’t believe everything we hear these days.

The thing to remember about Artificial Intelligence that has merged on the scene is that it’s … artificial. That’s going to play into End Times, no doubt.

Where then is truth to be found? How do we know what can be trusted? Jesus, when praying to God the Father in John 17, declared: “Thy Word is truth.” In the Old Testament, the prophet Jeremiah said, “Thy words were found, and I did eat them, and they were the joy and rejoicing of mine heart” (15:16).

Ah, so truth can be found. We just have to look in the right place. That would be in the Holy Bible, God’s inspired and preserved Word. A note of caution: choosing a tried-and-true version of the Bible is vital. One can’t separate inspiration and preservation. That was God’s intention all along. No need to be changing things up.

I saw recently that one of the translations has changed God’s saying, “My spirit shall not always strive with man” (Genesis 6:3, right before the flood) to read “My spirit shall not always abide with man.” That’s a stark difference! The popular NIV has more than 60,000 words omitted from the King James. Who wouldn’t want the whole truth, right?

Why is the true Word important? Because “faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17) and because “he that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”

Have the Word, read the Word, believe the Word. It’s a matter of life and death!
